BLOGTASTIC!: Care passionately about your readers
Your blog readers are your customers. While they may not pay you money for reading your blog, they are giving you two things that continue to be in short supply – their time and attention.
Your blog readers are somewhat different from customers in many other businesses:
• You may not see some of these customers in your life.
• Some of them won’t ever identity themselves as your customers.
• Some of them will interact with you sometimes while others will never interact with you.
• Some of them will thank you and others will complain about what you offer.
Your blog is a business where your blog readers pay you with their time and mindshare. Sometimes time and mindshare are more valuable than money—because both are quite limited.
If you passionately care for your readers, then they will reciprocate that feeling back. Whether you know it or not, your readers know how much you care for them.
Blogging Tip: Caring is a two-way street, on or off the blog
You want your readers to care about you and your blog. If that is true, then your blog has to be about your readers and not about yourself.
